The purpose of Married Life is—

- to prepare couples entering into marriage
- to nurture couples in existing marriages
- to repair broken marriages

       in a God-honoring way.

Premarital Counseling-

Couples entering into marriage are given an opportunity to create a firm foundation they can build on throughout their marriage through the premarital counseling program. They are connected with a mentoring couple with whom they can build a relationship that will extend beyond the six weeks of the program.

The premarital counseling is with a married couple who has received specific training in the area of premarital counseling. Although these counselors are trained, they are not professional, licensed counselors. They have chosen to serve at Southwest in this area.

Purpose Driven Small Groups-

Couples who join a Purpose Driven Small Group have an opportunity to live life together with other married couples and grow together as disciples of Jesus Christ.

Those who join a Purpose Driven Small Group are committed to balancing their spiritual growth through five biblical elements-Belong (you were formed for God’s family), Grow (you were created to become like Christ), Serve (you were shaped to serve), Reach (you were made for a mission) and Worship (you were planned for God’s pleasure). These elements are based on the instructions of Jesus found in Matthew 22:34-40 and Matthew 28:18-20.

We have marriage counseling available for couples who are experiencing extreme difficulties in their marriages through our Care Ministry.
